Our inaugural Student of the Year Award was given to Maisie BD for 2025.
Take a well-deserved bow, Tina
Tina first came to Roundabout as a student about eight years ago, doing acro yoga with Zoe. She was already one of us before she ever had a title here.
Then, in 2021, she came on as an admin assistant and helped us transition our booking systems in a time of flux. Her systems brain was exactly what we needed at the time. http://time.In Tina then joined the board, and has since has covered Rachel's maternity leave as operations manager and showed up every single time, working above and beyond with her sleeves already rolled up
Not the fun, sparkly stuff, the stuff that keeps the lights on. Budget forecasting, financial planning, and systems that mean we could grow, improve and organise ourselves better.

Alas, after several years of being an important part of our community, Tina is taking a stepping back from titles and will be no longer an official board member, having serves as both vice chair and secretary. We're letting her go gracefully, but we are grateful she is still sticking around as an association member because the FOMO is too real to leave the circus behind.
There is always more to do, but the path that got us here has been smoother because of your support. We see you, Tina. We really do. Thank you doesn't quite cut it, but thank you!!
Our 2026 Roundabout Circus Board - Aka our "Sideshow"
Drumroll, please... welcome, Angie as our new secretary of the Board.
Some people are just born superstars, and Angie is one of them.
You might know her from the studio or from spotting her cheering on quietly at the back at performance nights. Angie's connection to circus on the Central Coast goes all the way back to 2015, two years before Roundabout even officially launched. Her kids were doing homeschool circus sessions with us when we were still figuring out what we were going to be. Over the years, all eight of Angie's kids have attended circus, with two as staff members at different times, 4 still attending and at one point, we had six of them in the performance troupe. Now one of those kids, Amelia, is co-training our performance troupe. If that's not a full circle moment, we don't know what is.

Outside of circus, Angie runs her own STEM education company, has helped her kids build robotics businesses and represent Australia internationally, and has served as secretary for multiple organisations. She knows governance. She knows systems. She knows Roundabout better than almost anyone walking through our doors.
When you need someone to do a job, ask a busy person. We are grateful that Angie has stepped forward to join our Board as the secretary and we look forward to her warm, calm thoughtful energy contributing to the future for Roundabout.

What we love about this moment, is how it reflects the unique circus journey of Roundabout. People come here as students, as parents, as supporters, and they end up finding new ways to share their energy, their passions and to support the community.
Tina built systems that let us grow, while Angie has helped us believe we could in the first place. And now, as one steps back and one steps forward, the show goes on.
